About City Health Evidence Finder

City Health Evidence Finder is a public beta evidence base of city initiatives to improve health.

It is created and owned by Dr Shaun Danielli.

The Finder is intended to support evidence discovery, policy development, research and practical learning. It does not replace the original source material or provide medical, legal or professional advice.

Permitted use

You may search and read individual records, link to the Finder or an individual record, cite the Finder or an individual record, quote short extracts with clear attribution, use individual records for personal, academic, public policy or non-commercial practice purposes, and suggest corrections, additional sources or missing initiatives.

Where you rely on the findings of an original source, you should cite that source as well as the Finder.

Uses requiring written permission

You need written permission from Dr Shaun Danielli before you reproduce or republish a substantial part of the database, use the database or a substantial extract for commercial purposes, incorporate substantial parts of the database into another product, platform or service, supply database content to another organisation as a dataset, create a competing or derivative database using systematic extraction from the Finder, license, sell or redistribute extracts from the database, or use the database or substantial extracts to train, fine tune, benchmark or evaluate an artificial intelligence system.

Permission requests should be sent to contact@cityhealthevidence.org.

Automated access and scraping

You must not scrape or systematically copy the website, use automated tools to reconstruct the database, use scripts, bots or crawlers to collect records at scale, attempt to bypass pagination, rate limits or other access controls, access non-public parts of the website, database or underlying systems, or interfere with the operation or security of the website.

Search engine and citation crawlers expressly permitted through the website’s robots.txt or Cloudflare crawler settings are allowed. Permission to index or cite public pages does not permit model training, bulk copying, database reconstruction or republication.

Normal use of the public search interface is permitted.

Intellectual property

The database structure, selection and arrangement of records, taxonomy, evidence coding, original summaries, public record pages, website copy and project-specific software are owned by Dr Shaun Danielli, unless stated otherwise.

They may be protected by copyright, database right and other applicable intellectual property rights.

Individual academic papers, reports, websites, datasets and other source materials remain owned by their original publishers or rights holders.

The inclusion of a source link does not transfer ownership of that material to City Health Evidence Finder.

Accuracy and public beta status

City Health Evidence Finder is a public beta.

Records are produced through an AI assisted evidence process using public sources, controlled fields and publication checks. Records are updated as stronger, newer or conflicting evidence is identified.

Despite these checks, records may contain errors, sources may change or become unavailable, evidence may be incomplete, classifications may be open to reasonable disagreement, and the database is not a complete record of all city activity.

Inclusion does not mean an initiative has been proven effective or is recommended for adoption.

Users should check the original sources before relying on a record for research, policy, funding or delivery decisions.

Third party links

The Finder links to external websites and source materials.

City Health Evidence Finder does not control those websites and is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security or privacy practices.

Suggestions, corrections and feedback

You may submit suggested initiatives, corrections, new or conflicting sources, improvement requests and general feedback.

Submissions are not published automatically.

By submitting factual information or a source link, you give City Health Evidence Finder permission to review, verify and use that information to improve the database.

Do not submit confidential information, sensitive personal information or material that you do not have permission to share.

You retain ownership of any original material you submit. Submission does not guarantee inclusion, publication or a response.

Availability and changes

The website may be changed, suspended or withdrawn without notice.

Records, categories, search functions and these terms may be updated as the public beta develops.

The date at the top of this page will show when the terms were last changed.

Liability

The Finder is provided for evidence discovery and general information.

Users remain responsible for decisions made using the website or its sources.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Contact

Questions about these terms, permissions or use of the database should be sent to contact@cityhealthevidence.org.
