City Health Evidence Finder is created and owned by Dr Shaun Danielli.

Dr Shaun Danielli is the data controller for personal information collected through City Health Evidence Finder.

We may collect information that you choose to provide when you contact us, including your name, email address, organisation and role, the content of your message, information or source links submitted with a suggested case or correction, your preferences about receiving future updates, and any other information that you choose to include.

Please do not send confidential information, sensitive personal information or information about other people unless it is necessary and you have permission to share it.

We may use your information to respond to questions or correspondence, assess suggested cases, corrections and source material, improve or update the evidence database, investigate errors or suspected misuse, manage potential collaborations, maintain a record of significant corrections and evidence submissions, send updates where you have specifically agreed to receive them, protect the security and operation of the website, and meet legal or regulatory requirements.

For enquiries, suggested cases, corrections, feedback and collaboration discussions, we rely mainly on our legitimate interests in operating, checking and improving City Health Evidence Finder.

Where you actively register to receive newsletters or product updates, we will rely on your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.

We may also process information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

We will normally keep general enquiries for up to 12 months after the correspondence ends, case suggestions, corrections and supporting correspondence for up to 24 months, active collaboration correspondence for as long as the relationship continues and for a reasonable period afterwards, and newsletter details until you unsubscribe.

Where factual information or a public source is added to the evidence base, we may retain the non-personal information as part of the permanent database and audit record.

We will remove personal contact details when they are no longer needed.

Where someone unsubscribes from updates, we may retain a minimal suppression record so that we do not contact them again by mistake.

We may share limited information with service providers that support the website and communications, including Cloudflare, the provider used to receive and store email, a mailing-list provider if an updates service is introduced, and technical contractors where access is needed to maintain the website.

These providers should only use the information to provide the relevant service.

We do not sell personal information.

We may disclose information where required by law, regulation or a valid legal process.

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom.

Where this happens, we will use providers that apply appropriate legal and contractual safeguards for international data transfers.

The website will use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand general use of the site, such as page visits, popular pages, countries and website performance.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is intended to operate without cookies, local storage or individual visitor profiling.

We are not planning to use a cookie consent banner solely for Cloudflare Web Analytics.

If other analytics, advertising or tracking technologies are added later, this privacy notice and any cookie information will be updated.

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, ask us to delete information, ask us to restrict how information is used, object to processing based on legitimate interests, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, ask for information to be transferred in a portable format where applicable, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
